I hate girls.
I hate boys.
But most of all, I hate myself.
2012 was one of my best years. Of course it wasn’t perfect, and there are certain events I wish I can change. Nonetheless, 2012 contained my happiest days.
- Saw so many amazing bands live: The Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys, Kurt Vile & The Violators, Guided by Voices, Cloud Nothings, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, The War on Drugs, Bloc Party, The Drums, The Kills, The Killers.
- MET THE KILLERS.
- Shook Brandon Flowers hand as he looked right into my eyes.
I cried, melted, and touched his very soft back omg welp best day of my life
- Patrick Carney was my temporary Twitter friend; gave me a birthday shout out.
- Discovered my love for Chipotle.
- Became infatuated with more men I can’t have.
- Finally gained my faith back and becoming more in touch with my religion.
Hopefully 2013 is just as good!
Favorite Albums of 2012
There were so many outstanding records released this year. Not only did I discover more artists this year, I became enamored with their music. I enjoyed (and yes, I counted) 36 great albums this year, and I tried to narrow it down to 10 but it was SO difficult that I had to make it 15. My choices are most certainly up for debate, but nevertheless, are all highly recommended.
So without further adieu, here is my list:
- The Killers - Battle Born
- Grizzly Bear - Shields
- Beach House - Bloom
- Grimes - Visions
- Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d city
- Fiona Apple - The Idler Wheel Is Wiser…
- Jack White - Blunderbuss
- Twin Shadow - Confess
- Tennis - Young & Old
- Sleigh Bells - Reign of Terror
- Bob Dylan - Tempest
- Bloc Party - Four
- Passion Pit - Gossamer
- Paul Banks - Banks
- Cloud Nothings - Attack On Memory
Honorable Mentions:
- The xx - Coexist
- Tame Impala - Lonerism
- David Byrne & St. Vincent - Love This Giant
The Killers’ rescheduled date is at the end of finals week so I have to work my ass off twice as hard so I can be SURE to be exempt from my exams.

I’m excited but nervous about tomorrow. I can’t wait to vote and if you’re American/old enough to vote, you should too!

Hurricane Sandy barely hit me, thank God. All my loved ones are safe and sound.
Unfortunately the same could not be said for many others. My heart bleeds for them.
My beautiful city is a wreck.
Hurricane Sandy should be hitting me any moment now.
I love you all.
