Comedown Machine is basically the summary of stage one of The Strokes’ career.
Is This It is known as that album by “those rough boys in New York City”, trying to come of age. Comedown Machine begins with that same youthfulness of Is This It, with the one night stands and struggling to find to a sense of belonging and whatnot. The album ends at where the band stands now, finding that maturity and that position of what they have been seeking the whole time. They found the loves of their lives and are finally happy and ready to move on. This is a concept I find brilliant. It’s too bad the critics don’t.
Overall, a magnificent album. I just wish others would find its magnificence.

My back is in so much pain. Any time I move, I just want to cry.
I haven’t had a mental health day in ages, and it has really taken a toll on me. I need my solo strolls around the city and get myself a peace of mind.
I know Morrissey can be a prick but ya gotta admit, his lyrics are poetry.
Shout out to everyone I love.
